| Annuals & Perennials | | Customers from all over Tidewater return year after year because of our selection of unusual annuals and perennials. We annually search for new varieties- but you can always find your "old favorites" here as well. Remember that we carry a size for every pocket book. The past few years we've become more interested in tropical looking plants (many hardy in this area), and we have a large tropical display garden to inspire you. Visitors really love the two varieties of hardy bananas, the spectacular Brugmansia and towering Arundo donax. We specialize in tough sun-loving daylilies and carry over 100 varieties- from pricey "cutting-edge" to less expensive plants ideal for mass planting. Some of our personal favorites are 'Joan Senior', 'All Fired Up', 'Mynelle's Starfish' and 'Orange Velvet'. Make sure to select early, mid and late varieties to extend the flower show. Our wide selection of perennials for shady sites includes the common tried-and-true plants your grandmother grew plus several you probably haven't heard of. Visit us in April for the best selection of herbs in Tidewater, plus a great selection of water plants and fish. Available in the spring our koi, comets, and shubunkins are reasonably priced. We buy the smaller sizes of fish to keep your cost down - plus you get to watch them grow bigger each year. We carry hundreds of tough but beautiful perennials for any garden situation, plus we'll be happy to help you create "portable beauty" with lush containers. Remember that if you don't find what you want when you visit us we'll do our best to locate it for you. Just a few of our rare and unusual plants |
