Our wide selection of trees and shrubs include the tried and true classics, but as serious plant enthusiasts we also seek out more unusual varieties to offer you and to test in our own gardens. If you’re looking for native plants we may have just what you need, as well. Whether you need to screen an undesirable view or want to extend your garden’s season of interest we’ll be able to help you.

Do you struggle with shade and want to go beyond hostas? Our selection of perennials for shady sites includes the reliable plants that your grandmother grew plus several you probably haven’t heard of before. And what would summer be without a few long-blooming “wow” tropicals in your yard? Our wide selection of unusual foliage-color tropicals combined with long-blooming classics like mandevilla or hibiscus mean carefree enjoyment for several months. Our employees also love to make incredible combination containers!

Visit us in April for the best selection of herbs in Tidewater, plus a great selection of water plants and fish. Available in the spring our koi, comets, and shubunkins are reasonably priced. We buy the smaller sizes of fish to keep your cost down – plus you get to watch them grow bigger each year. We also specialize in “collections” of some of our favorite plants like daylilies, salvias, hydrangeas, Japanese maples and camellias. So whether you just want to add to your garden collection or need a terrific focal point plant, plan to visit us soon.

We carry hundreds of tough but beautiful perennials for any garden situation, plus we’ll be happy to help you create “portable beauty” with lush containers.
